Air Travel
If you are flying to Huntsville for a class, the nearest airport is Huntsville/Decatur International, airport code "HSV". It is on I-565 between Huntsville and Decatur, about a 20-minute drive to downtown.
Other options for airports are Birmingham (south) and Nashville (north), each about a 2-hour drive from Huntsville, accessible by Interstate 65.
Navigating
Huntsville is an easy city to navigate. Due to geographic restrictions, there are only two North/South arteries, Memorial Parkway (Highway 231) and California Street. For proximity to the downtown area and its beautiful Big Spring Park, we suggest
Holiday Inn Downtown, Radisson Suites on South Memorial Parkway and the Marriott Courtyard on University Avenue.
