- dispelling the myths of metastasis - when it is safe to massage and why
- adjustments that must be made in your massage for clients who:
- are undergoing chemotherapy or radiation or who have a history of it
- have had surgical or medical procedures and/or lymph node removal
- are at risk for lymphedema – how to make more intelligent determination of this
- working with clients who have IVs, Ports, Central lines
- clients whose systems are overloaded from stresses of receiving treatment
- how to perform more informed intake with clients who have a history of cancer treatment
- perform a supervised massage session with a person who has undergone cancer treatment
